Neurofeedback, also known as EEG biofeedback, is the breakthrough you have been looking for. It is a non-invasive therapeutic technique that helps train the brain to improve it's functioning by providing real-time audio-visual feedback on brainwave activity. As individuals learn to regulate and adjust their brainwave patterns, they can develop healthier, more balanced brain function.
Treatment focuses on improving attention, emotional regulation, stress resilience, and sleep quality. It can be helpful for individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, mood challenges, addictions, chronic stress and a variety of other issues. Neurofeedback training is personalized to your unique needs, with the goal of creating lasting improvements and overall well-being.
Here at Five Stones Neurofeedback, it is our goal to help you find the stones to overcome life’s “Goliaths” through neurofeedback, integrative strategies, and a focus on true, lasting healing. In our practice, the process begins with a gentle brain mapping procedure called a qEEG assessment. Small sensors are placed on the scalp to measure your brain’s natural brainwave activity. The results produce a visual map that highlights areas where your brain may be overactive or underactive, giving us a detailed understanding of what’s happening beneath the surface. We take your brain map and create a customized neronfeedback plan specific to your patterns, symptoms and personal goals. From there, we provide a home unit, allowing you to train at your own convenience, right from the comfort of your own home. During each 30 minute training session, sensors monitor your brainwaves as a you watch a movie. When your brain generates healthy patterns, the visuals on the screen become brighter and the sounds more engaging. In that moment, your brain reinforces its own success, gradually learning to maintain that balanced state naturally. With repeated practice, your brain learns to sustain these healthier patterns on its own, much like strengthening a muscle through exercise.
